Associate Professor Frederic Gilbert

Fred research pioneers knowledge in ethics about the impacts of novel technologies (e.g., medical, AI, etc) to guide and inform research protocols and policy making. He uses multidisciplinary approach to collaborate with his academic, industry and patients’ advocacy partners. His research capture patients’ experiences to articulate extra layers of ethical protections in research protocol.

Fred research focuses on ethical issues raised by testing or using new technology to target intellectual disability or cognitive impairment.
