Testing a new measure for episodic severity
The Applied Research Centre for Disability and Wellbeing is calling for Behaviour Support Practitioners to take part in research testing a new scale for measuring episodic severity.
Having accurate tools for measuring severity of aggression outbursts is an important step in creating evidence-based interventions that keep everyone safe. The online study will take a maximum of 45 minutes. You will be asked to read short descriptive stories about aggressive outbursts and rank them on a 10-point severity scale.
Please note that this study involves reading about aggressive behaviour and the possible harm that can result from that behaviour, up to and including death. If you feel that reading this type of information may be distressing, you may wish to avoid taking part in this study.
Participants will be given the chance to win one of three $100 gift cards.
